Toddler Piano & Guitar Lessons

An exciting new curriculum that is now available!

Babies and young children learn best through play, and this methodology combines play-based and Montessori approaches. Implementing these approaches will introduce music to kids and develop their passion for music.

Our Early Childhood Music Lesson instructors aim to make learning enjoyable for our students. We are continually brainstorming ways to make the learning process both engaging and captivating. Our goal is to foster curiosity in children and cultivate a lasting love and interest in music that will span a lifetime.

Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including  intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together.

We are the only music school in the East Bay that works with 2- and 3-year-old children play music instruments. Your toddler will play piano or ukulele, a small guitar, in their first lesson. By the age when most kids typically start music lessons, your child will already be more advanced and experienced than others.

Testimonials

What Says Our Student

My son just had his first recital! It is wonderful to see his progress. I'd like to thank the academy and especially Ms. Angelina, who has been patiently practicing with my son, and got him to the point where he can play in front of 100+ people.

My daughter has been taking lesson here for more than three and half years now. I see her growing so much with her piano skills. Two recitals per year, and you can tell all the performers are talented. The teachers have very good background and always dedicated and professional. The kids there attend all different kinds of national competitions and win the top place. I would definitely recommend this studio to my friends!

We are really happy to have found this place. We have piano lessons with Alex and my son really likes him. Plus he is learning quickly and always wants to go to lessons. After a bad experience at livermore's music time academy, it is nice to have found someone he likes. You can hear other teachers through their doors if you try and eavesdrop and I would say you can't go wrong with this place, their teaching styles are on point as is their experience in their instrument.

Paige C.

My 5 year old son, Joshua loves his piano lessons with Aleksandr Lazarev. He has learned so much for the past 6 months. Thanks to Aleks for his patience, firmness and constantly inspiring my son to be better. Joshua was lucky to be the youngest in his first recital. His piano skills has improved tremendously under Aleks' tutelage that he will be ready for USOMC competition early next year. I strongly recommend Aleks if you are looking a great piano teacher.

Sean L.

I had a wonderful 5 years here with Mr. Alex. Every lesson was insightful and taught in a creative way so that I would always improve not only my technique but also my understanding and appreciation of piano as a whole. All the songs we performed were carefully picked out then excellently and thoroughly analyzed and critiqued by Mr. Alex.

Our 11 year old daughter has been taking piano lessons at the Pleasanton Academy of Music with Ms. Tatiana Kubatina for more than 3 years and truly enjoys her musical journey. Although our daughter had prior piano experience before joining the studio, Ms. Tatiana has guided her to a completely different level of musical enjoyment. Ms. Tatiana is a dedicated teacher with effective teaching skills. She is very patient and professional. She focuses on improving the required techniques when teaches technically challenging repertoires and at the same time guides our daughter on musical expression, dynamics, and phrasing. Ms. Tatiana always encourages and motivates our daughter to reach her highest potential. Ms. Tatiana helps our daughter explore different repertoires so she is always excited about learning various musical styles. Our daughter has participated in various competitions with top prizes, including her performance at the prestigious Carnegie Hall. She has received a special invitation to participate in the International Bach Goldberg Variations Charity Project with talented top prize winners. She has completed ABRSM theory, practical, and performance exams up to Grade 8 performance level with Distinction. In addition to the professional guidance from Ms. Tatiana, when our daughter prepares for special events and competitions, she also receives invaluable support from Mr. Alexander Lazarev, who is an experienced piano teacher and an inspiring professional pianist at the studio. Our daughter especially enjoys the experience of performing with other talented students at the Pleasanton Academy of Music studio through duo and duet performances. The teachers at the studio also organize annual recitals where students showcase their performances and celebrate their progress. I highly recommend Pleasanton Academy of Music.
