Our instructors, made up of skilled flute, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet and recorder teach students how to develop and master their musical skills every day at Pleasanton Academy of Music. Our faculty play professionally with orchestras, jazz bands, and chamber groups. Mr. Eric Dannewitz works at Acalanes Union High School District and prepares students competitively perform in school bands. Mr. Chris Aschman is fluent in both jazz trumpet and steelpan, and brings a special versatility to the many ensembles he performs with.
Our students get the wonderful additional benefit of performing at many events throughout the year. You will find a multitude of concert opportunities and special events at Pleasanton Academy of Music. Although none are required, we do find that most students make more progress when they have regular performance goals to work towards. Performing also builds a student’s confidence. We have plenty of choices! We believe giving students opportunities to perform will help to increase their love music and encourages students to in building skills towards being well prepared for Certificate of Merit test, ABRSM exam and international competitions.
