Valerie Golovko brings over 20 years of international performance and teaching experience to her studio at Pleasanton Academy of Music & Arts, offering private lessons in violin, piano, and viola.
Her musical background spans Europe and the US. Valerie graduated with honors in Violin Performance and Piano from Brest State Music College, studied under renowned professor Viktor Supronenko, and served as Principal Violinist and Director of the acclaimed Polish ensemble Karolinka. After moving to California, she collaborated with Professor Igor Veligan at the University of the Pacific Conservatory before building a highly respected teaching studio in the Sacramento area.
As an educator, Valerie uniquely combines the structured technique of the traditional Russian violin method with the ear-training and engagement of the Suzuki Method. At the piano, she provides well-rounded instruction covering sight-reading, music theory, and expressive performance.
Whether guiding a young beginner, coaching an advanced student for competitive auditions, or helping an adult learner fulfill a lifelong passion, Valerie tailors every lesson to build technical excellence, stage confidence, and a lasting love for music.
