Born and raised in the Bay area, Elliot Sicat has performed for audiences for over 15 years. Currently attending CSU Sacramento for his BM in Jazz Voice, Elliot is a frequent concert soloist and has sung in many different ensembles throughout his career. At the age of 8, Elliot began as an ensemble singer in Saint Cyprian Catholic Church Choir and continued to the St. Augustine and CCOP teen choirs. As he continued his musical journey, Elliot was part of Amador Valley High School’s Choirs and Barbershop quartet. He later joined their Mixed Vocal Ensemble, which performed many different genres of music such as jazz, pop, and R&B. Alongside those groups he also performed in the Amador and Foothill joint musical “Cinderella.” Elliot continued his passion for music into college where he was the lead Bass of Las Positas College’s Vocal Jazz ensemble “Vocal East”. He performed in LPC’s Jazz Combos ensemble and was a co-director and founding member of the Las Positas student-led voice group “Early Birds.” As a soloist, Elliot has sung many different genres and performed throughout the Bay. During Elliot’s time at LPC, he studied under Ian Brekke and focused heavily on vocal technique and music theory. Under the direction of Ash Walker, Elliot performed Classical and Theatre music. Returning to Jazz, Elliot studied as a baritone under Carl Oser and focused on learning and performing jazz standards. After Graduating in Fall 2023, Elliot received his AA-T in Music from Las Positas College and is continuing his education for a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Voice at CSU Sacramento.
