Growing up in a family of musicians, Diana Iliaiev developed a deep connection to music from an early age. She began studying piano at the age of five and completed a comprehensive seven-year classical piano program under the guidance of renowned piano teacher Tatiana Lanskaya. She later continued her musical education at the Odessa Conservatory, where she studied composition and jazz, expanding her musical knowledge beyond classical piano.
Diana brings a warm, creative, and individualized approach to music education. She believes that a strong musical foundation should be developed together with a genuine love for music, especially during a child’s earliest years of learning. Her lessons incorporate rhythm, ear training, musical expression, creativity, and age-appropriate piano technique, helping students develop confidence and strong fundamental skills.
At Pleasanton Academy of Music & Arts, Diana teaches piano and early childhood music, with a special focus on introducing young children to music through engaging, age-appropriate instruction. She offers private piano lessons for children as young as three years old, creating a positive first experience with the instrument through rhythm, listening, movement, musical games, and early keyboard skills. As students progress, lessons gradually become more structured while continuing to encourage curiosity and enjoyment of music.
Diana’s additional professional background in visual arts and Art Therapy enhances her ability to connect with young children and create engaging, imaginative lessons. She uses creative and confidence-building techniques to help students feel comfortable, motivated, and excited about learning.
Diana believes that positive early experiences with music can shape a child’s relationship with the arts for a lifetime. Her goal is to create a supportive and inspiring environment where students develop musicality, discipline, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.
