Joffria Whitfield is a versatile harpist, violinist, and multi-instrumentalist specializing in strings, woodwinds, and handbells. She is fluent in classical, gospel, jazz, and popular styles, and brings that breadth of experience to every lesson she teaches at Pleasanton Academy of Music.

As a dedicated violin teacher, Joffria offers private violin lessons for children and adults using a combination Suzuki-traditional method. Her one-on-one violin instruction helps students make quick progress, build confidence, and enjoy frequent performance opportunities. She teaches all levels—from beginner violin lessons to advanced repertoire—while nurturing musicality and technical mastery.

Joffria was instrumental in launching the Mt. Diablo Middle School Honor Orchestra and was honored to conduct it in 2013 and 2017. In 2020, she was nominated for Teacher of the Year (MDUSD).
