Born and raised in Pleasanton, Soprano Kylie Pickard has been performing for audiences around the Bay Area for over 11 years. Heavily involved in the PUSD Music Department, Kylie is a frequent concert soloist and has sung in many different ensembles throughout her career. Kylie was awarded Most Outstanding Vocalist in 2015 and 2016 and continued her successes at Foothill High School awarded as Most Outstanding Freshman Vocalist.

As an ensemble singer, Kylie was a part of Pleasanton Middle Schools choirs as well as Foothill High School’s Women’s choir, Chamber Choir, and top vocal jazz ensemble “Rhythm in Blue.” Alongside those groups she also performed in the Amador and Foothill joint musical “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and helped organized the performance of the Amador versus Foothill ASL department and Choir national anthem.

Kylie continued her passion of ensemble singing into college where she was the lead Soprano and stage manager of the Las Positas elite Vocal Jazz ensemble “Vocal East” which performed at the San Luis Obispo Cuesta Vocal Jazz festival. She performed in LPC’s Combos ensemble and Big Band as lead vocalist, as well as the voice group “The Early Birds.”

As a soloist, Kylie has sung many different genres and performed throughout the Bay. Under the direction of Shauna Fallihee, Kylie studied solo classical voice as a Lyrical Coloratura Soprano and in January 2024 presented a vocal recital consisting of classical, baroque, and contemporary music. With a Spring 2024 expected graduation date, Kylie will have her AA in Music from Las Positas College.

In her personal time, Kylie continues to volunteer and sing at the Pleasanton Senior Center, Castlewood Country Club, The Oakland Athletics, and for the Las Positas Veteran’s First Program. As well as singing, Kylie has studied piano at LPC and guitar in her off time enjoying the constant learning music has brought her.
