Honorary Mention of Our Student on Temple Hill Symphony Orchestra – Vivian Nguyen – Salute to Youth

Get ready for something extraordinary!  We’re so excited to announce that our very own Vivian Nguyen will be performing with the Orchestra and giving a presentation about her music journey. A passionate musician for many years, she is eager to share her story with the audience and showcase her talents. Ms.Nguyen is sure to provide an outstanding performance that will capture everyone’s attention with her skillful abilities and enthusiasm.

Vivian Pham Nguyen, an 8th grader from Diablo Vista Middle School in Danville, has been studying piano for four years. She’s currently enrolled at Pleasanton Academy of Music in California and under the professional guidance of her teachers, Ms. Tatiana Kubatina and Dr. Alexander Lazarev. Her journey with music has been incredible thus far; Vivian is proud to continue to pursue her dreams as a musician!

Vivian has had a string of impressive accomplishments, such as winning grand prizes, first prizes, and the Outstanding Gold Medalist award at music competitions like the New York Concert Festival International Competition, US Open Music Competition, US International Music Competition, Music Through the Centuries Competition, and Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition. She is especially proud of her performance in Carnegie Hall at the tender age of nine on account of having won the Grand Prix Prize from the New York Concert Festival International Competition.

Vivian is an accomplished pianist who has performed in esteemed concert halls such as the Mozarteum in Austria and the Concertgebouw in the Netherlands. In 2021, she was invited to be a part of the International Goldberg Variation Charity Project for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with other remarkable musicians. Vivian has had great experiences through competitions and recitals; she embraces a huge range of music styles and pieces as each period provides her with its own special characteristics to appreciate and master. As well as playing piano, Vivian actively participates in Speech and Debate events as well as engaging in community service activities.
